Over the last few months I have begun to take note of the number of anti-Bush books that are reviewed in the NYT Sunday book review. It seems that each week at least 2 and as many as 4 are reviewed. Keep in mind that the there may only be 20-25 items reviewed each week.
While I have no problem with these types of books or the Time's decision to review them, I am just a little curious about the number of anti-Clinton books that were reviewed. I would love to see a tally of the types of books reviewed during Clinton's second term. While I think an arguement can be made that Bush has given his critics much more to go after, most of these books are not policy based but are much more personal in nature.
Along the same lines, do the editors of the Book Review really expect Peter Beinart, a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, is the author of “The Good Fight: Why Liberals — and Only Liberals — Can Win the War on Terror and Make America Great Again.” to give an honest unbiased review of Norman Podhoretz's new book The Long Struggle Against Islamofascism? Just asking.
